Mountain Valley Sportsman Association will be hosting the 2010 Shoot, Rattle, and Roll Championship on Saturday, August 28th, 2010, at 8:00 a.m.. Mention MVSA to anyone that has shot a sanctioned match with us and two things immediately come up in the conversation: · Quality Stages · Great Food!!!
This match continues that tradition and includes a prize gun...... Springfield XD 9mm. The match will be held in Hot Springs, Arkansas, a beautiful vacation and relaxation spot with a vast amount of shopping, entertainment, dining and sight-seeing attractions available for the entire family. We invite all competitors to bring their families and enjoy what Hot Springs and MVSA have to offer.
This is an IDPA Sanctioned Match. As such, all competitors will be required to have their valid membership and classification cards. Entry fee is $75.00 and includes lunch. The fee for entries postmarked after Friday, August 16th , is $85.00. No changes after August 16th. Awards will be per IDPA guidelines. Division Champions, Senior, Distinguished Senior, Lady, Junior, Law Enforcement, Industry, Military, Military veteran and Most Accurate will be recognized as well as Overall High Novice.
The match will be limited to 125 shooters and will consist of:
· 10 exciting stages · Approximately 150 rounds · Reactive and moving targets · Lunch · Hospitality Room w/ refreshments
The match hotel is the Knights Inn, 1871 E. Grand Avenue, in Hot Springs, AR. Reservations can be made at 501-624-4436. Ask for the MVSA (Mountain Valley Sportsman's Association) Group Rate. Please book your room by August 14th if you plan on staying at the match hotel. We have reserved a block of rooms, however, all reserved rooms must be filled by August 21st or the reserved rate will be released and normal room rates will apply. Normal rates are between $80.00 and $100.00 per room.
There will be a Hospitality Room at the match hotel on Friday, August 28th, starting around 6:00 p.m., for competitors to sign-in early and pick up their match booklets. We will have refreshments and light snacks available during early sign-in.
Match sign-in on Saturday will be at the range and will start at 7:00 a.m.. Shooters meeting will be at 7:45 a.m. and shooting will start promptly at 8:00 a.m..
A BBQ lunch, consisting of beef and pork sandwiches, chicken, slaw and beans, will be provided for all competitors and extra meal tickets for family or friends can be purchased for $7.00 each. Lunch will start around 1:00 p.m. and will be available for the remainder of the match. We will NOT be taking a break for lunch, but, we will have open squadding so you can eat whenever you want. Please note on your entry the number of extra meal tickets you will need.
