     MVSA will be hosting the 2010 Mountain Valley Regional on Saturday, March 27th, 2010 at 8:00 a.m.. The match will be held in Hot Springs, Arkansas, a beautiful vacation and relaxation spot with a vast amount of shopping, entertainment, dining and sight-seeing attractions available for the entire family. We invite all competitors to bring their families and enjoy what Hot Springs and MVSA has to offer.

 

     This is an IDPA Sanctioned Match. As such, all competitors will be required to have their valid membership and classification cards. Early entry is $75.00, with entries postmarked after March 15th being $95.00. No changes will be made to classification or division after March 12th. Awards will be per IDPA guidelines. Division Champions, Senior, Distinguished Senior, Lady, Junior, Law Enforcement, Industry, Military, Military Veteran and Most Accurate will be recognized as well as High Novice in each Division.

 

All competitors will be entered in a drawing for a Springfield 1911 in .45 ACP.

 

The match will be limited to 125 shooters and will consist of;

 

  •  10 exciting stages

  •  Approximately 150 rounds

  •  Reactive and moving targets

  •  Lunch

  •  Hospitality Room w/ refreshments

  •  Prize table, including a gun giveaway.

 

     The match hotel is the Knights Inn, 1871 E. Grand Avenue in Hot Springs, AR. Reservation line is 1-800-238-4891 or 501-624-4436. Ask for the MVSA (Mountain Valley Sportsman's Association) Group Rate. The rooms are reserved under the name of Steve Freeman. Please book your room early if you plan on attending. We have asked that they block 15 rooms, but, this date falls during the Horse Racing season and they can not guarantee a room if booked late. Normal rates are $85.00 to $100.00 this time of year.

 

     There will be a Hospitality Room at the match hotel on Friday, March 26th, starting around 6:00 p.m., for competitors to sign-in early and pick up their match booklets. We will have refreshments and snacks available during early sign-in.

 

     Match sign-in on Saturday will be at the range and will start at 7:00 a.m.. Shooters meeting will be at 7:45 and shooting will start promptly at 8:00. A BBQ lunch, consisting of beef and pork sandwiches, chicken, slaw and beans, will be provided for all competitors and extra meal tickets for family or friends can be purchased for $7.00 each. Lunch will start around 1:00 p.m. and will be available for the remainder of the match. We will NOT be taking a break for lunch, but, we will have open squadding so you can eat whenever you want. Please note on your entry the number of extra meal tickets you will need.

      For those who may stay over for the weekend, MVSA will be shooting Trap and Skeet at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday on our 2 gorgeous Trap/Skeet fields. Bring your shotguns and plenty of ammo! Everyone is welcome to stay over and shoot with us on Sunday.
